Sad to see Hong Kong Restaurant go. Best Chinese spot in Front Royal in my opinion. I heard the old fellow running it has retired, and if so, I hope you have a wonderful retirement and live prosperously! Thank you for all the wonderful meals!
People were great. Just not the food. I went there 3 seperate occasions because I craved chinese and it was the closest. Everytime the food was disappointing. Lo mein noodles were soggy and just greasy, and the meal itself was very bland. 2nd time tried the combo fried rice and it taste like it was fried. The rice has the texture as if it was refrigirated for days and microwaved to heat up. And the meats were bland. Only spice i tasted was salt. 3rd time today, ordered chow mein. Got my order wrong and got me some soggy vegetable and pork with some rice. Rice was as described as above. Vegetables were soggy as if it were leftovers from the day before. And the whole meal itself was watery and bland. I'm not sure who keeps getting the good food and leaving good reviews. But I rather drive a bit more and go to a different chinese place.
Seriously the BEST asian food restaurant in town! Portions are great! Food is fresh! Service is excellent. Most importantly the food taste AMAZING! I’ve tried all the other restaurants in town for Asian/Chinese/Thai food and this is hands down the best. I’m a customer for life!
